Workshop Presentations: EACH MEETING PARTICIPANT MAY MAKE ONLY ONE WORKSHOP PRESENTATION. Oral presentations will be limited to 12 min. with an additional 3 min. for discussion. PCs and projection units supporting XGA will be available at each workshop site for PowerPoint presentations. All workshop PCs will be loaded with the Windows environment and the latest version of PowerPoint. There will be limited support for computer full-motion video (.mpg, .mov, .wav, or .avi format). We strongly suggest that your presentation be developed in PowerPoint 2007 or a compatible version, (i.e. Mac PowerPoint for OSX). Overhead projectors and slide projectors will not be available.

IMPORTANT: Presenters will be required to report to the Speaker-Ready Room a minimum of 3 hours prior to the start of their session with their PowerPoint presentation saved on one of the following formats: USB Flash Drive, CD-ROM, and DVD-ROM.  At that time, speakers MUST preview their presentations which will then be downloaded onto workshop PCs. It will not be possible to use personal laptop computers for workshop presentations. Questions regarding audio-visual arrangements may be directed to Heidi Dale-Johnson via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Abstracts for Poster Sessions: Authors scheduled in poster sessions will be assigned a poster board space for display of illustrative materials such as text, graphs, charts, and tables. The maximum outside dimension of each poster, including the title, must not exceed 4 ft x 4 ft (120 cm x 120 cm). Information presented on posters should be readable at a distance of 3 ft. For your convenience, poster board fasteners will be provided at the meeting.

PROGRAM & ABSTRACT BOOK: The ASV '09 Scientific Program & Abstract Book will be mailed to all current ASV members in good standing (2009 dues paid) more than one month before the meeting. ASV members who receive a mailed Program & Abstract Book should bring it with them to the meeting. Very few additional copies will be available and only on a per fee basis. The Program & Abstract Book will be provided to all other registered participants upon check-in at the ASV Registration Desk in the Student Union Building.

Online publication of abstracts:  Abstracts will be available online from May 2009 through the close of the meeting for the convenience of participants in creating an advance meeting itinerary.

IMPORTANT:  After submission of an abstract, ASV cannot suppress or edit an abstract's content for the purpose of protecting patent rights.  Authors should take into consideration the dates for distribution of abstracts online and in the ASV Scientific Program & Abstracts Book when submitting their abstracts.
